It was an amazing stay. Such a beautiful venue and apartment with beautiful views! Would definitely recommend. Only 15 min drive from Stellenbosch town centre. Felt very safe. Ubers were easy to get. Host was very responsive!
Only feedback I would suggest would be giving guests a way to let their Ubers etc out of the gate as we ended up having to walk up the hill as they couldn’t get out without us being there. But would definitely stay again! Thank you :)

Thank you for a great stay! Perfect location! Safe and secure accommodation. Felt right at home. The lovely apartment was a peaceful sanctuary after a busy day of touring. The apartment had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and pleasant!
I will definitely return on my next visit.

We absolutely loved our stay at Avemore. The views are incredible, the space beautiful with fabulous decor and absolutely massive. One of those rare occasions where the photos do not do it justice. We wished we could have stayed for much longer. Cherice really is the best host! We certainly hope to be back.

Great communication with the host — very friendly and helpful. The apartment is suitable for families with children, and the location is fantastic, beautifully surrounded by vineyards.

The apartment is a bit dated, with some worn or partially defective furniture, and the floors and bathroom could use a deep cleaning.

We were very impressed with the accommodation. It was super safe, spotless and comfortable for my husband and teenage boys. The communication was always immediate and friendly. We will definitely make use of this accommodation if or when we are back in Stellenbosch.

Cherice is very organized with constant communication throughout the whole process. This is the 2nd time we stayed there as it very walkable and safe to the city center for the restaurants and other activities. Also easy and close to all of the various wineries in the region. We would definitely stay there again when we come back.

• Avemore Vredehof No 3

We were a family group of 12 people. Quiet but central location. Lots to explore in the area and the lagoon swimming spots in walkable distance were a bonus.
We enjoyed the living spaces both inside and outside.
The accommodation had all the listed amenities, but would have benefited with outdoor cushions especially for the rooftop loungers. It was very hot! Yes it was mid-summer but the fans were not enough to keep the temperature down during the night, so sleep quality was compromised.

The layout was a bit odd as it was 2 flats in one. which was great because it meant we had 2 washing machines and 2 ovens! But when the electricity tripped on one DB board killing the wifi it took a day to find the problem.
The 4 upstairs bedrooms (10 beds) share one shower. There are also 2 baths and 3 toilets upstairs. But for a beach holiday the shower was in high demand. The drain clogged up but the host called a plumber promptly.

• Avemore Island Home Sedgefield

A lovely little spot away from the hustle of Stellenbosch. Amazing views and close to a few wine farms for tastings. The communication was exceptional and they even accommodated our cafetière requests for filter coffee in the morning. The gate is a little tricky when using taxis and deliveries as it is a fair walk and only one remote. Was expecting something a little more luxurious from the pictures with larger living room but ok for a short stay. Would welcome info on how to use the alarm/ which beams are activated when set and help cleaning the braai. All in all, a relaxing stay with beautiful views.

The home was beautiful and perfect to explore the Stellenbosch and surrounding area. It was a lovely relaxing and peaceful stay - the house is situated in the corner of the most magical garden / grounds - a bird lover's paradise.
We also had access to a beautiful communal pool.
Cherice is a great host and always communicated clearly.
Really enjoyed the stay and hope to be back.

The apartment, as well as the entire property, were absolutely stunning. It’s truly a uniquely beautiful place, surrounded by wonderful nature and offering an amazing view of the mountains. We felt relaxed from the moment we arrived. Communication was smooth and effortless at all times. We would love to return one day.
